Should soda and candy be excluded from the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program?
Of course!
It's not that simple.
If they that stupid then they need to crack down on people on SSI shouldn't be able to spend their checks on lottery tickets every month! Plain and simple.

Healthy foods are high price and if they want us to buy more healthy foods, then either need to lower the price for healthy foods or raise the price on food stamps

ebt is suppose to be like cash.so...if someone paying cash never suppose to buy a candy bar??? also,if someone asks u for $ for gas and u let them have $ for gas,would u tell them they can only buy premium instead of reg??

Because not only are you removing sports drinks but juices in general....also you are telling older adults who payed taxes for year who are now on ssi/ssdi and rely on food stamps that they can't get what they paid for before now just because they are old/disabled .

No, because the Diabetic people like myself needs sugar free candy and sugar free soda. I know the government wants everyone to be healthy but we have rights too on what foods to eat.

I'm not okay with this new thing of the president want to do. Sometimes we need a little sugar for our body etc...hope and pray that they not accepting this please

Sugar is a basic food staple, and it is allowed. cokes, and candy is not. Get with the program.
Yes, they, and many other convenience foods should also be excluded. "It's not that simple", is an understatement.

ReplyOnly healthy nutritious food should be able to buy with food stamps. Junk food should be abandoned. If junk food is bought with EBTstamps, it should be taxed. Chip, soda, and candy should be taxed. These foods are not nutrition and unhealthy

ReplyBecause I receive snap benefits and it makes it hard if they take that out then there taking away most of the food you get on stamps because of sugar is in most of the food.
