Like many other states, rural crossings have no guards/lights and have poor visibility of the tracks, due to trees and/or physical land features. People just have to be vigilant and observe before crossing. The crossings will not be improved.
The fact there is not already one or any attempt at common sense enforcement speaks volumes in it's own right. Maybe we need another department and a 10 year study.......
We used to have government funded mental institutions that would have handled this, but Reagan handed this off to the states who didn't have the money to continue funding.
If the City passes this, the homeless will not go away. They will move into the surrounding neighborhoods. Your children will step over the homeless as they walk to school and you will hear screaming all night long..
