Edge rushers are more valuable, but they are particular to schemes, where WR's can fit in any scheme typically. The Edge rushers also have issues, whereas, the WR's are elite this year. Perriman runs a 4.2 40 and is the #5'ish WR. Smith has elite ball tracking. WR talent trumps premium value this yr

Beasley and Gregory will both fall out of the top 15. Cooper, White, Perriman, and Parker all go in the top 15. WR wins 4-3 (Fowler, Ray, and Dupree)

Edge rushers on the market receive top dollar. Getting production at a reduced cost is always important. Justin Houston is a prime example and therefore Edge will get the nod.
ReplySurplus of both positions however I think this draft class is EDGE heavy at the top. Quality WR can be had on day 2.
Reply4 rushers (fowler, beasley, 2/3 of dupree/gregory/ray) vs 3 wrs (cooper, white, and either perryman or parker)
ReplyFowler, Gregory, Ray, Vic, Bud, vs. Coop,White, Parker
ReplyMore star talent. Only 2-3 wideouts deserve to be drafted that high while several more edge rushers do.
Replythere are about six good end rushers to 2 good wide receivers
ReplyThere are only 10 receivers that are consistent impact players. And almost every edge rusher is great at one thing and good at another.
