Odds are highly against a 31 year old RB performing above average. And for AP to not be a dud with his insane contract, he has to be 6+ YPC like he was in 2012. Which is not happening.

Peterson is starting to get old for a running back. There's no guarantee one way or the other, but I won't draft him with my first-round pick this year in fantasy.

Last time he spent almost a year without running with a football (he had blown one knee), he rushed for 2000 yards. Imagine what he will do now that he had a full year just to rest.
