Gregory doesn't seem to be able to pack on the weight needed to be a 4-3 DE and with guys like Fowler, Ray, Beasley, and Dupree, there are safer options who have great talent themselves.
Reply ReplyThere is plenty of talent in the top ten. There is no need to take an unnecessary risk with such a high pick. Top ten picks define GM's.
Reply ReplyHe smoked weed KNOWING that he would have to take drug test at the combine. His excuse was that he actually smoked back in December but he had so many in his system prior to that, that it stayed in his system up to the Combine. That's implying he smoked throughout season. It's terrible either way.
Reply ReplyJosh Gordon is a prime example of talent overshadowed by lack of will power and intelligence. Gregory is supposed to be smart, but smart players don't continue to make stupid mistakes and teams are shying away from these players. Unless, of course the team is desperate for anyone.
Reply ReplyThere's just a few absolute red flags when drafting top ten picks. Repeat off field legal trouble. Questions concerning love of the game and drug abuse. Legalities and political arguments be damned. It isn't permitted in the league and it is a federal crime. It turns a sure thing into a HUGE "?"..
Reply ReplyJarvis Moss 2.0. Not smart enough to make sure he is testing clean before known combine testing. Long, thin body type that will not hold up vs the run.

If Jameis Winston can still be projected the #1 overall pick with all his off-field issues (rape allegation, burglary, sexual harassment), why shouldn't Randy Gregory still be a top-10. He's a beast
ReplyOne word..... Talent
ReplyWAS, ATL or CHI will take him... or some team will trade up with STL for him.
ReplyUpside is too high, Jets and Giants love him.
ReplyIn the end teams always opt for elite talent. Someone will take a chance on him hoping to hit the jackpot
ReplyWith MANY of former draft picks now in the league that also tested POSITIVE for WEED why is he still not a TOP 10 pick.
ReplyAgain if Jameis Winston can have alot of off the field issues like allegations for rape and stealing etc and still be the considered the #1 pick, then I do not see why not he wouldn't be chosen in top ten. His talent is beyond words and people make mistakes. Everyone is looking for pass rushers
ReplyWinning is more important than risk taking. This time and most times in the NFL.
