Husband can not have turkey, it triggers his gout if he does. So, chicken or fish usually.

My husband doesn't like turkey so we will eat something else on Thanksgiving. Probably chicken.

2016 reminds us of 1916, a world tangled in unholy alliances, and power politics and outcome-based motivations - and very little in the way of common sense. On top of this, there are many unsustainable Kingdoms and serfdoms in their final years. Very dangerous.

ReplyI've always loved Thanksgiving. The turkey dinner with all the trimmings, and,especially, getting together with family. Last year, and this, we can only have dinner with my husband and daughter Thanks to the Internet, I can "see" extended family and friends on screen, but it's not the same.

ReplyWe took over roasting the family turkey long ago. Since discovering Alton Brown's "Good Eats" brining method we have served wonderfully flavorful and moist turkey every year. Lots of favorite family side dishes as well.
ReplyI'll be having a traditional turkey dinner along with sweet potatoes and pumpkin pie.
ReplyIt's just myself for Thanksgiving, so I will cook a turkey drumstick, rather than the whole bird.
