Definitely Batman! I think this is because fans are used to Batman being more malleable, as Kane and Finger's Batman was a pretty basic, archetypal character that had an awesome motif. As such, the only real qualifiers are being someone who suffered a crime-related tragedy and stands against crime.

The idea that anybody could be Spider-Man is a quintessential characteristic of the core of the character, you can be rich, poor, black or white and still be Spider-Man, even Stan said that's why he wears a full face mask, so it naturally follows that he is the best legacy heroes ever created.

I feel like the point of Spider-Man is that anybody can be Spider-Man. Miles and Peter are different characters with their own upbringings. It’s not the same for Batman. Bruce Wayne IS Batman. Only Bruce can really understand what it means to be Batman on a more intimate, personal level in my eyes.

Honestly I believe that Miles is the best example and most successful example of a legacy character ever, in just a little over a decade he has been in animated TV shows, animated movies, and video games, and now a sizeable part of the fandom considers him THE Spider-Man.

The general population will never fully associate anyone else with Spider-Man but Peter, Miles deserves his own identity.

There are 4 green lanterns. 6+ Robins 3 flashes and in young justice 2 aquamen. I don’t see a problem with 2 spider-men

Generally not a big fan of this mantle multiplying (except for GL kinda) I just tolerate it at this point, like really I feel it detracts from the significance of a character holding the mantle and I imagine it's somewhat confusing for the inuniverse characters who don't know their real identities.

I think he has a perfect costume to take on the "Scarlet Spider" moniker, and it would be an interesting change. It does kind of feel like Scarlet Spider is more of the unofficial "Robin" or "Nightwing" to Spider-Man.

I'm not against the idea of Miles having his own identity it's just that every time they've attempted to call him different, Spin or Spidey, it comes off as derivative or lazy. When you look at a character like Ben Riley, Spiderman was a stepping stone for his arc, not the other way around.

While I absolutely detest the idea of multiple Spider-Men swinging around simultaneously, I feel Miles has earned the mantle (even in a meta way) and renaming him, now, comes off as a demotion. Honestly, he should've just been left to be the one, and only Spider-Man of the Ultimate universe. (😉)
