Schools aren't factories where the number of units produced is the goal, but rather educating young minds where repetition and continued exposure to ideas is the goal. Four longer days would not provide the same quality as five normal length school days.

No I do not support the St Joe school district and going we're wanting to go to a four-day school week. It would just put a lot of stress on parents on finding a babysitter for that extra day or losing work there is nothing wrong with a 5-day school week the way I see it

Jim Lower Over 900 school districts in the U.S. utilize 4-day school weeks [141 in MO]. Numerous studies: 32+ hours of instructional learning = student success. Districts do save money. Parents, students, and teachers in districts with 4-day school weeks overwhelmingly support it.

Schools are not like factories, where the goal is production of a certain quantity of a product. A shortened school week will only serve to deprive students of another day of education. Four long days won't be conducive to learning.
