If we're getting a fresh take, why not from the beginning? The "original" is a reboot anyways, might as well get a fresh team's take on it.

Why not just finish the series? The main characters from the movies done already are adults in the other ones any ways so why not

No just start were they left off guess they plan on starting at the start and telling the whole story.
