Why check someone for skills they don't use? If the only reason you have to not change it is "It's how it's always been done", you have no reason at all.

Drills should be practical in application translating to skills used during games, specifically using drills that can be used to discover instincts and read reaction times. Players numbers are sometimes beautiful to look at and then because of slow reads and slow instincts it negates all the numbers possible productivity.

i agree why a 40 yd dash for a 300 lb lineman? maybe a 20 yarder. they dont need breakaway blasting speed like wrs rbs tes and mobile qbs

The combine is possibly the biggest waste of time in all of sports. Bill Walsh proved the interview and intelligence tests far outweighed the skills competition. Measurables are grossly over rated.

The combine is meant as a tool to educate the teams on the best players available. If the opportunity becomes available to test players ability more accurately arises, as long as it doesn't endanger the player, then it behooves everyone to include. Players can always decline to participate in a drill.

Raiders have been out to prove that they're not all about speed since Al Davis's passing. Cooper still had a solid combine, and hasn't been really shut down this past season.

Cooper is the far superior talent and despite people getting wet over White's 40 time, Cooper even had the better overall combine performance.

Smoother, more accoplished and pro-ready. Besides, White plays 4.5 on tape, so he's faster too (for you combine nerds). The most natural pass catcher in many years deserves to be the first selected.

Cooper has had better production on tape and I believe that will beat out the equally impressive workouts. He is a better prospect than Sammy Watkins from a year ago and I believe he has Dez Bryant skill set.

Regardless of Combine results, Cooper is the better wideout.

Amari Cooper beat VH3, the best CB in the country. That alone makes him better than White.

He is more natural at it. He makes it look easier. They both have great upside, but I would take Cooper.

Because my team, the Saints would move up one spot. If the Browns do, so should the Patriots and Atlanta.

The Browns should get an extra draft pick as punishment. Manziel, Wheedon, Richardson....

What Farmer was doing did not effect the play on the field. Didn't enhance performance of the players or give a disadvantage to the other tea. Very irrelevant

I see no issue with what the General Mgr. did - the NFL is becoming the NCAA. Worry about bigger issues that questions the integrity of the NFL - this is what I call nitpicking. Stan Wojton Steeler Country

No its such an innocuous rule that had no bearing on the outcome on the field. Ignorance is no excuse but Farmer probably didn't know there was a rule about. Besides the Browns give away draft pics to move up one spot for players nobody wants on a regular basis, They gave away 5 picks last year for Gilbert, Manzell, etc.
