As every 8th grade Civics student knows, it takes 60 votes to end the Schumer Shutdown. Since we only have 53 Republicans, we must have a handful of Senate Democrats
"No one is so blind as one who will not see" means that a person who is unwilling to accept the truth is more difficult to convince than someone who is physically blind.
Trump is ending wars, getting hostages released, after nearly 2 years, while Schumer is holding the US taxpayers hostage, for free medical care for illegal aliens, while our own citizens have to pay for medical care.
Republicans could easily say yes to extending subsidies for Americans and no to the other provisions. If Dems say “no” then it’s on them. Not much compromising is going on.
