It is an invitation to again demonstrate my lack of self-discipline and remind myself of my previous failures, after 20+years of not succeeding...

Just silly!

In 1979 I said I would never make another New Year's resolution. So far so good!

When I did I didn’t keep them so I stopped making them

Time is irrelevant ever since the incident

Honestly we should be trying to make improvements about our behavior and actions all year round

Make a vision board, more "aspirations" less resolutions

I make daily and weekly resolutions (goals) and meet those. It’s also less stressful and fulfilling this way.

I'm Not Going To Abide By Them Anyway !!!

No, just try to improve is always a good thing. Just do it.

If I want to make a change, I do, it has nothing to do with what day of the year it is.

I do my best to make resolutions throughout the year so I don't see the need to make a special one when the ball drops at the start of a new year.

I found that I only seem to remember them at the end of the year, then it's a mad rush to lose weight, give more to charity, etc.

Why bother?

I Don't See Any Sense In It Because I End Up Breaking Them

Family issues! All holidays are at my husband's mother's house and our grown children and small grandchildren are all expected to attend. Daughter is not coming. Husband is beyond himself...

I try to limit contact with family to Arraignments, Public hearings and Funerals.

Dread. Did I get all the gifts? Did I do this? Nope don't like em.

While I still have some childlike enthusiasm about the holidays, the stressors of being an adult seems to bring slightly more dread than the childlike enthusiasm.

Just too much hassle.

5 years ago my two youngest grandsons (3 years old and 21 months old) were murdered by their father who went on local news and blamed my daughter. Needless to say not very good memories for this time.

I think Christmas has become fraught with expectations of perfect gift-giving and decorating, in neither of which I excell. Plus my mom and my first husband passed on at christmastime. Sad memories.

dread, holidays bring me no joy after the incident

I was raised by a super abusive person who did not believe in Christmas, people give to each other, not Jesus Christ. Christmas is too commercialized and people's expectations have become selfish.

Living with recent ex boyfriend who doesn't celebrate ANY holiday.
