He says political ads, including manipulated videos and the viral spread of misleading information, presented challenges to civic discourse and has “significant ramifications that today’s democratic infrastructure may not be prepared to handle. ”He added that the reach of political messages “should be earned, not bought.” Show Less

Facebook is unable to control it's platform from being weaponized by foreign countries and others who want to use dishonest methods for political gains.

Disinformation is the enemy of honest discourse. Facebook should be held to the same standard as other media outlets. The health of our democracy is at stake.
