Yes. I find it annoying. In most cities, walkers wait until traffic clears to cross a street. I have seen a few near-accidents with people suddenly stopping for a cyclist in roundabouts. Really dumb.

I have had drivers stop for me when I was just near a crosswalk. I have to wave them on as I did not plan to cross the street.

I believe the vast majority of drivers stop for pedestrians.

I got hit by a truck crossing the road December 20th of 2018 and broke my foot. It was so scary.

Absolutely not!!!! Most people don't realize that pedestrians have full right-of-way REGARDLESS!!!!! You clober someone with your car and watch your life melt away.

Every intersection is a legal crossing drivers don't stop where a crosswalk isn't painted on. Pedestrians have right-of-way as soon as they step into the street, even in middle of block.

Crossing in middle of a block is Jaywalking and could get the crosser mounted on a front bumper.
