Jimmy Garoppolo is undefeated as a quarterback at 7-0. He started two games in New England in 2016 and five for the Niners in 2017. His passer rating for the two New England starts was a whopping 113.3. His record five-year, $137.5 million deal is worth every penny to keep him in San Francisco. This franchise needs a jumpstart badly, and this is just the ticket. The trick now is to find great receivers and an offensive line that keep Garoppolo on his feet.

Sure, Jimmy Garoppolo is undefeated after starting seven games as a pro, but he's hardly been tested. In five starts for San Francisco in 2017, he threw seven touchdown passes and five interceptions. His passer rating was 96.2, and that's still pretty good, but San Francisco should not have spent hordes of money on an untested player. Seven games doesn't make him a superstar. New England should have kept him as Tom Brady's back-up until Brady retires.
