The FBI is a law enforcement unit and doesn't take political sides, it merely enforces the law. The final background check came to the White House in January after the thorough investigation was complete. There's paperwork to back up these claims.

The White House and President Donald Trump's staff can hire whomever they want for various positions. Domestic abuse and assault shouldn't have a say in security clearance. Rob Porter was even dating Trump's communications director, Hope Hicks, and there was no controversy over that. The president can hire anyone whom he feels is helpful to his staff, and Porter was one of them.
