Democrats should at least pick up some seats in Congress and ideally take back both the Senate and House in November 2018. Trump is just too much of a risk for Republicans, especially after his debacle during the Helsinki summit where he talked to Vladimir Putin. If Democrats can't win more seats in 2018, and if they didn't learn lessons from the stunning defeat in the 2016 presidential election, they need to do some serious soul searching. Show Less

Republicans have it made for the 2018 mid-term elections. Even though President Trump misspoke during the Helsinki summit with Putin, he did his usual damage control afterwards. It's business as usual for Trump, and the job market continues to improve under his administration. The economy is doing great, gas prices haven't reached astronomically high levels, and GOP voters are going to turn out in droves to continue supporting Trump in the 2018 elections despite his foreign policy faux pas.
