L.L. Bean had the best return policy. You could return items at any time for any reason. It's no wonder a loyal customer is suing the company. Nothing may come of the lawsuit, but the angst of longtime and loyal customers remains the same. L.L. Bean should have kept its return policy the same because it made the company stand out from others. Now it's just like Wal-Mart.

L.L. Bean needed to change with the times. It was the only company that had such a liberal return policy. The change was prompted by too many people abusing the policy by returning well-used items and items bought at yard sales. Unfortunately, a few bad apples ruined the entire bunch. The lawsuit against L.L. Bean in federal court may not hold up since the company sent a letter to its customers announcing the change.
