The #TacoTrucksAtEveryMosque movement started in September 2017 in Orange County, California and it continues to grow. Hispanics and Muslims face discrimination and an uncertain future in America, and they come together and talk to each other while sharing meals. Taco trucks serve halal food at special events, and the two sides discuss the important issues facing them. There needs to be more events like this as Hispanics and Muslims seek ways to become more politically active in their communities.

The food is great, as southern California is famous for taco trucks. These social gatherings have a lot of support, but it may not lead to more political activism. There are too many politicians and voters who simply don't connect with Hispanics and Muslims. Until there are more minority candidates and minorities who attend political meetings and caucuses, these special taco truck events are a waste of time. Conservative trolls show up at #TacoTrucksAtEveryMosque events and disrupt the gathering, and that's part of the angsty reality America faces right now.
