Christian Siriano is a forward-thinking fashion design house because the company recognizes that curvy women need high fashion, too. The designer clearly understands that fashion is no longer about stick-thin models because real women have curves. In a fashion show in early 2018, Siriano proved that he could pull off the same stunning look with the same type of dress on several different body types and sizes of women. Kudos to Siriano for being more inclusive. Hopefully other fashion houses take note.

Models are thin for a reason. It gives women a goal to attain when trying to achieve "the look." Fashion houses cater to smaller-sized women because they have standards to uphold. No one wants to see a curvy model struggle with a dress that doesn't look right on her. The fashion industry is just fine the way it is, and the upper echelon of fashion houses in Paris, Milan and New York should keep it simple.
