Other artists were much more deserving, but as with nearly every year, the academy choose avoid selecting albums by artists too closely related with hip hop. This year, Kendrick Lamar's album "Damn" should have won, as it sold better and received better reviews. This, combined with Jay-Z's work not receiving an award despite eight nominations, reinforces the appearance of bias the academy has against hip hop. Show Less
