It boils down to social etiquette, self respect and respect for others. I just saw the most egregious young woman at the grocery store wearing a mid-thigh t-shirt nightshirt with no bra, a hair cap and slippers. She had a cart wandering up & down the aisles so not a quick trip. It was offensive.

It’s atrocious to see someone who’s dressed for bed in line at the airport, the local grocery store or at the mall. It is my belief that there is a time and place for the level of comfort experienced from wearing bonnets and slippers. However, out in the general public isn’t where it belongs.

It doesn’t matter because a lot of these local businesses allow people to come into their establishments wearing bedroom slippers and pajama pants and hair bonnets. It used to be a strict code where you had to have a shirt on before you entered in establishment you had to have proper shoes on and th
