Patrick Stewart's Professor X is iconic. His work in the X-men helped to make serious comic-book adaptations a reality. It would be amazing to see his version of the character in the MCU. It's a shame that the Fox / Marvel terms kept him out this long.

Stewart will always be the original professor X, but his time as the character came to a close in Logan. His involvement with Feige is probably just as a consultant to help in appropriately introducing a new version of the X-men into the MCU.
