Because with prices going up on everything else thanks to Mr. Biden we need a break . We pay enough as it is now. So we don't need to pay more sales tax on food. People are having a hard time already.

We should NOT be taxed on essential needs, this means living should not be taxed. We should tax non essential items. That's why we struggle. It almost gives us a break.

A core necessity shouldn't be taxed. Alternatively, you could limit the tax to the wealthy. Removing this tax will help the poor and struggling households.

This would be a good thing, but counties and cities would have to follow suit, to make it work. The out the door tax, for most cities, is about 4.2%. That includes state, county, and city taxes. Missouri can be better than that.

Many states don't have sales tax on food or prescription drugs. Missouri should step up to that higher standard. And the counties and cities should also step up to that standard as well. Most of us currently pay about 4.75% on food, and 7.75% for taxable items, look at your next grocery receipt.

Many states don't have tax on food, or prescription drugs. I am sad to say, that most of those states, are liberal. One of the few things liberal states do, that is better.

Eliminate all taxes in existence. Taxation is theft.

I don't think no one ever is . Plus like the town ( Moberly) the city doesn't do their part in trimming back trees or removing dead trees . Or homeowners don't do the same . So when the storms come that's why there are power outages. Or you have ameren in a dispute on what trees they cut on lines .

Because they only cut trees off the main high line so it's job security when the trees fall on power lines they come out and fix them . The city won't trim trees back out of the lines at all . It's up to homeowners now really but yet they go down the alleys spraying for weeds ?
