It's interesting to see all the people complaining about federal election takeover when these bills include things such as: requirement for independent redistricting so no more gerrymandering, prohibition on campaign spending by foreign nationals, improved election security, and better outlined...

penalties for those who try to subvert peoples right and ability to vote whether or not a minority. Though the calls of this being federal election takeover is not much different than the same thing being said back when passage of the original VRA was going through the senate. It also does not...

change the DOJ's current role when it comes to elections due to preclearance. But hey its like we are in the 1960s again and the right to vote and ones ability to is for some reason dangerous because there is power in minority numbers.

I agree. Voter ID, and no mail in ballots.

To my knowledge (even though many vote-fraud accusations haven't been verified), there are far more verified cases of vote fraud than verified cases of legally entitled voters denied their right to vote. I have no doubt that such cases would be broadly publicized if they existed.

To an extent there are cases that are showcase creation of difficulty in voting such as closing of polling centers in minority areas, creating very nuanced things that make it harder to vote by mail or absentee without telling the public and other things that are minor but not at the same time

Quit calling it "voting rights" it is a democrat fraud easing scheme. It makes cheating easier. Something democrats tend to cheer.

we do not need federal election laws, especially this one proposed. we need total voter id laws and minimal abstentee balllots that are verified well in advance of elections

Voting is left up to our states. Don't allow the federal government to change laws and take control. Why? Have you seen what happens when the government is left in control of something? Everything tends to mess up. Examples include public education, mail services, etc.

States are in charge of our voting rights, this allows us to regulate and make sure there is election integrity. These Federal rules take that accountability away. CoMo got $647,000 CTCL money, we wouldn’t know how much 2020 fraud went on in Boone county if it weren’t state-county local. Vote no!!

The Constitution gives the states the right to control the voting process. The democrats do not believe in the constitution. The United States, under its Constitution, is a federal, representative, democratic republic, an indivisible union of 50 sovereign States. Biden is trying to subvert the Law.

To JH, Yes your statement is true, but it requires a two-thirds majority vote in both the House of Representatives and the Senate. Good luck with that. What Biden is doing is called senseless Grandstanding.

Mr. DeYoung You are right to an extent but also wrong, Article 1 section 4 states, The Times, Places and Manner of holding Elections for Senators and Representatives, shall be prescribed in each State by the Legislature thereof; but the Congress may at any time by Law make or alter such Regulations

To make that easier to understand, the Biden administration, is crooked to the bone, and communist in nature.

There wasn't such a thing as sick days in the Army. You were told to quit being a female body part and ruckup and draw fire.

The new paid sick leave requirements were another 'problem' that didn't exist and certainly didn't require more government regulation.

If you staff correctly & uphold attendance policies, there shouldn't be an issue. Unwell employees means non-productive employees. If you can afford expensive vacations, then you can take care of your employees. It's that simple.

This is a matter of law and order. I have no problem with immigrants coming to this country LEGALLY. Immigrants built this country and are a valuable asset but there is a LEGAL process that must be followed. Biden, Majorkas were disasters when it came to illegal immigration.

We might get a bit closer to having fair elections without those voting who aren't even citizens.

Yes, that would be a problem that needs to be addressed ... if it actually existed.

Immigration laws exist for a reason. I can agree our current immigration process is too complicated, expensive, and ripe with corruption. The solution is to change the process, not allow people to stay here illegally.

Illegal is Illegal, no matter the situation. Law enforcement is there for a reason, to enforce the laws. If I was in another country illegally, then law enforcement in that country would do the same thing, but probably jail time first. Without laws and law enforcement there would be anarchy.

This is not a matter of legality. "IlLeGaL" immigration is a misdemeanor, like jaywalking or speeding. That people are being apprehended at immigration court dates, schools, and churches shows that these people are not dangerous nor violent. And finally, detention without due process is kidnapping.

This is not only anti-american, but it is cruel, inhumane and counterproductive. Trump has managed to convince half our Country that 65 million immigrants are both an imminent threat and less than human. Worse, most of the people believing these lies are Christians.

They should focus on protecting the community from the reported crimes and not engaging in the current racial profiling that immigration authorities have been doing.

Police resources should not be used for ICE operations. Congress just voted for an unbelievably huge budget for their police state. Don’t use local community resources!

This is a hard question. ICE isn't explaining anything or identifying themselves. PO's might follow protocol, better. However, they shouldn't have to be involved. To be fair though, I think we spend too much unnecessary time on immigration & nothing else that truly matters.
