Commented "Actually the 3% should have a basis. It is a tax that is compounding. There is no basis for the 3%. Each year property increases valuation +3%. Next year it is taxed at the new valuation +3% + 3% on the previous years 3%. And on and on. Do you get a 3% raise every year based on current income?"

Commented "People need jobs and the few pennies per gallon it costs to pay them to pump gas is irrelevant. Most people waste that much on junk food every day. Gas tax in Oregon is about $.56-.58 a gallon. Gas prices fluctuate so much it makes little difference what it costs to give someone a job."
