Commented "I live in a pretty safe n'hood on the W side. I'm also on a dead-end street, not near any major thoroughfare, so I think that makes it a bit safer. We also have a n'hood watch + close-together houses."
Commented "I'm for it, especially since it won't cost me more in homeowner taxes. Funds coming from grants and "community partners" is a good way to fund it vs. taxing homeowners more. It's a win-win."
Commented ""Required?" I'm not so sure, But if the parents want them too, the younger the better. Children brought up in bi-lingual households easily pick up both languages. It informs the brain. No downside. "
Commented "In a new-construction house, so none of my plantings are mature enough to exascerbate fire danger. That said, the HOA in NWX REQUIRES "as many pines as possible" to be left. This creates fire danger!"
Commented "Tourism has been way over-sold. I hear folks who have lived here a long time say they are leaving due to increased traffic, etc. Coming from a metro area, the traffic is nothing to me, but I get it!"
Commented "Free speech does not allow yelling "Fire" in a theater when there is no fire, so It's not an absolute right. As such, hate speech should be banned. No one benefits from hate speech, no matter rights!!"
