No, some neighborhoods might suffer.

I think some neighborhoods might suffer as a result. Some don't have the resources and the quality of life might be affected.

Because people will come from other places/states when word gets around that they can live for free. Other cities have tried this same plan and it's been a disaster!!

Needs to be outside the urban areas, probably East of Bend is the most fitting!

Siting a "temporary" homeless camp of this size, near two public schools and a park is NOT a good idea. What business in their right mind would look at property in Juniper Ridge with this nearby?

No. Enabling drug addicts and the alcohol adducted to live on our streets and neighborhoods is criminal. They need to be housed in a treatment facility.

Everyone deserves to have a place to live. A set location could create a sense of community amongst people who are homeless. A location near a bus line will help with transportation to/from jobs.
ReplyYou bet, even the Homeless need a place to go for awhile. BUT, there has to be guidelines. They can't just run wild like animals. Truly deserving people must be held accountable. In turn be given the tools and a way out through support. I'm a homeowner and I would help where I can.
ReplyBecause homelessness will never completely go away. There will always be some person or family in crises . The old KOA is the ideal site as water , sewer, and electri is fairly accessible.
