I believe this is all political to keep the economy down. Big 10 is about starting the season on November 4th!
Reply ReplyIt is political....now he wants all B10 athletes to be social justice warriors. How can he even bring this up as an athletic discussion? Talk about political. He needs to go NOW!
I don't think the BIG had all the information to make that decision alone. The country doesn't. The hospitals are not over run by covid patients and the death toll is better than the flue!
Reply ReplyYou are very forgiving by offering C or worse. I am not even sure an F would do justice. This is a one man hit show. It seems to me the commissioner is out to prove he is the boss and no one else.
Reply ReplyF: Responsible leaders making a decision with so much social and economic impact have a duty to give the people they serve the reasons for that decision. The conference isn't a democracy, but ...
Reply ReplyThis fits into the politics of the day. No explanation just accept it and get in line. Stinks of politics.
Reply ReplyThis seems to be a "fly by the seat of your pants" decision made by an incompetent B10 commissioner. The worst part is that his son plays football in the SEC and is going to play. Hypocrite!
Reply ReplyCould not have possibly botched it more. Zero communication or explanation? Seriously? F-
Reply ReplyThere was no transparency. Other conferences get to play which is an unfair advantage in recruiting. Covid survivor success rate is about 99.9% so quit living in fear. This is ruining peoples lives an
Reply ReplyThere is always risk. The risk of a football related injury, the same risks we mitigate every year, are far greater than the risks for which they claim to have postponed the season. COWARDS!!
Reply ReplyRight or wrong decision not the problem. The way it as handled big problem/ no transparency, explanation or attempt to rectify the handling.
Reply ReplyJust deplorable, living outside Nebraska I get the opportunity to listen to other sports talk radio shows blast the B1G and their decision making process.
Reply ReplySounds like the commissioner is a big time Democrat and listens to CNN. Replace him now!
Reply ReplyA 10 game schedule one week, cancellation the next. No presentation of factual information to support their vote and no presentation of the actual vote. Poorly executed by a "prestigious" conference
Reply ReplyNo transparency, no details, the Presidents of the Universities are not coming together on an actual vote. I would say if you can't get 75% of the schools to agree, there is a problem.

The Big 10 deserves credit for making the right decision - A+. Football is not worth the risk of serious damage to the health of a single football player. Players can now focus on their studies.
