No he wouldn't have
It takes more than one player to be successful. Without a solid line and multiple talented targets, Joe wouldn't have risen above obscurity in my opinion. If he played for a 90's Husker team-yes
Reply ReplyFrost is too in love with Martinez. Which means the best quarterback on the roster this season will not play.
Reply ReplyFrost was stuck on Martinez, 3rd stringers rarely get drafted in the 1st round.
Reply ReplyLsu is a top notch program in the SEC Nebraska hasn't been a top notch program in over 20 years!
Reply ReplyAs others have said, it takes a whole team. He would have been average at best here because we don't have the OL or skilled players to allow him to rise to the top. Hopefully we will soon for a QB
Reply ReplyIf he would have done better than Martinez, it would not have been by much. With essentially horrible line play, no running or passing game, no QB could have done much better
Reply ReplyThe O line is definitely trending upward but between bad pass pro at times and not enough play making receivers, no QB could have had a great year with the Huskers last year.

I think he’d have adapted. He might not have been early first round but I think he’d have been in the first round. IMO... he had better receivers here than at LSU! 😁
Replynot like LSU was lighting the wrld on fire b4 He got there. the no talent point at NU is overplayed to cover 4 lack of play-calling, dvlpment etc esp with top 25 classes and outrecruiting BTWest oppo
ReplyHe would have been sacked a lot and if he could withstand the injury bug then yes late first round.
