Not a good thing for college football, but we've got to be ready to match CA and other states, should the NCAA make that call. Schools not on board will of course be left out in the cold.
Reply ReplySports betting will eventually create an environment where some individuals will want to influence games..it happens. Plus, sports gambling can hurt some families when betting becomes an addiction .
Reply ReplySome folks may benefit from gambling but the odds are many others will suffer serious consequences, which includes children and other members of families who are not involved in gambling.
Reply ReplyReminds me of the "well, other kids are doing it" issue as a parent. Also adds to the "Pay me in addition to my scholarship" Issue. A slippery slope.

Outside of DFS (fantasy football) I don't gamble. However I think the time is now. Those concerned with addiction, I live in NC and have heard of no major addictions. It would have been reported.

ReplyLegalize all gambling. Why does the state have to dictate what you can and can't do.
ReplyStop legislating morality. It is a gross example of dominion over the masses. It's not freedom. Its about power and control. Live and let live.
