Which needs to improve most for the Huskers - running or passing?

When Maurice Washington entered the game things picked up. JD was invisible on offense. AM must present a passing threat for the run to succeed.

Because we have a qb and talent at receivers and tight ends to make it work.

In the Big 10 if you can't run the ball you will not win very often.
ReplyA successful run game opens all sorts of opportunities. If you can't win the battle up front, no amount of scheming is going to help.
ReplyWhat I think is there should be a third choice here... get someone in there that can snap the ball. Everything is out of kilter if the snap is not proper. The whole play's timing is off.

ReplySouth Alabama had 44 carries for 83 yards. They did NOT "run it down our throats"--but I digress. WE need to be able to run the ball in order to stay out of 2nd and 3rd and long situations.
ReplySA was running it right down our throat, we simply can't have that anymore.
