No, I'm not worried.
Done all I can do, got the shots, avoid prolonged close contact with the public and if I happen to get it, I just get it. It is just another of the growing number of deadly threats one collects as we get older. And as a 70+ I have a lot of them, but worrying about them isn't one of them.

Does anyone want to explain how they know that the Delta variant is more contagious when they only have one generic test that test for covid or no covid. They aren't testing for different strands. Someone explain this.

I assume the tests are not free to anyone. I assume only those who have been exposed are being tested. Of those only 4.1% are positive so in other words 95.9 percent of those exposed become infected and some of those have been vaccinated. So what the heck is all the clamor to get vaccinated about?
I am vaccinated, trying to get my daughters to get vaccinated, everyone get Fricken vaccinated so we can get past this Stinking Covid restrictions!!!

Its just a gimmick. Like using the term new and improved to relabel a product. People are fed up with hearing about COVID and are starting to tern a deaf ear to it. This "Delta" is just a gimmick to try and get them to listen again. But people are not buying it.

I am not concerned about the Delta variant. How many variants have we had now? There have been 11 so far. I am worried about the future variant that becomes far more deadly than any so far. Will those responsible for the death of millions be held accountable?

I can still get it even though I've had the vaccine. I personally don't care if I get it, but I'd be damned if I spread it to someone and they spread it to one of their elderly family members or young child!
ReplyI’d rather be extra cautious than sick. We are vaccinated but as we learned, you can still get COVID when you are vaxxed but won’t end up in the hospital. It still is a horrible experience

ReplyJust look at our hospitals. Do you want them to be there if you need them? Or, should they be full of people that had a 99.7% chance of not being there by getting a free shot. It simply speaks for the fact that our education systems fail to teach us to think for ourselves.

ReplyAs a front line caregiver I remain astounded by the ability of this virus to outwit us at every turn. Despite abysmal national leadership from the get go, we did a stellar job in Oregon in keeping it at bay, but allowing it to spread nationally created the far less forgiving variants.
