a mobile app has a lot more functionality and can prevent false alarms that are common with panic buttons on a lanyard.

Everyone carriers a cell phone with them everywhere. They find it more important to have than any other object (even a school ID). By utilizing a cell phone for a panic alert system for staff, the entire building is safer.

Cell phones are like wallets - everyone remembers to bring them so they are at hand during an emergency.

I put more faith in people, not an app, for a child's safety. Cell phones should be banned in school. I might compromise if cell phones where locked in a locker (muted) and/or a zero tolerance policy for cell phones in the classroom. In-between classes, lunch, etc is OK.

Liberals have ruined the state of Oregon and California. A republican has no vote in either state presently.

Oregon leadership is neglecting most of the state. Some how the policy's that work in Portland and Salem should work for the whole state. Probably not going to happen, Kate B. is power hungry.

We need to do something to get our children out of Oregon teachers union, away form Kate Brown, and Portland in general! Our tax dollars are funding Antifa and the political conditioning of our kids.

Not likely to happen, but yeah. The libs are ruining this state just like CA has been ruined. Too dumb to see it. They move in, ruin the state, then have the gall to tell us to leave.

There are more republicans in California than you know and we are just as fed up with liberals as you are. Not all relocators want to bring their ideas to Oregon they are trying to flee the liberals.

The liberal big city nut bags can ruin their own homes. Let the rural communities run the rural areas.

The leftist extremists in Portland have made life difficult for conservative Oregonians. This may be the answer for Oregon Conservatives.

Maybe the map should reflect California where they have Oregon and Oregon where they have Idaho... (Redmond would be in Oregon, Bend would be in California)

The representatives of Oregon have nearly nothing in common with Eastern and Southern Oregoners and hardly consider anything other than large city agendas. Little to no representation for them.

Such a dumb idea! And, of course, it devolved into politics. OR is a liberal state, overall. Don't like it, move to ID.

That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard.. Why the heck should we split up our beautiful state? We just celebrated another anniversary.. The guy from Lapine who suggested it. Hey can move to Idaho.

It is misguided. Idaho used to be part of Oregon...the Oregon Territory, so if we change anything we should absorb Idaho back into Oregon. Plus, Idaho is a hotbed of ultra right wing politics.

I don't know the label of my phobia but I'll try 2 explain: I have an ethic name. It's not 2 hard 2 say/spell IMO & its n the Bible. But WASPs make my life hell @ times b/c of my name. So when surrounded by overwhelming white groups, I cringe at what's about to happen @ my introduction
