Texas always wants to control everything and have it their way. One big reason we left the Big 12.
ReplyOklahoma has been our big rival since the 50s against Bud Wilkinson, through coaches Delaney and Dr Tom , especially vs Barry Switzer. The classic rivalry. Texas, no.
ReplyI miss the match ups with the Sooners. Cannot stand the Horns and what they did to the Big 12.
ReplyA) It's Oklahoma and that would add some much needed excitement to the Big Ten West. B) Texas would do to the Big Ten what they did to the Big 12
Replybrings back a rivalry. Texas was the reason for the demise of the Big 8 and takeover of the Big 12
ReplyTexas destroyed the Southwest , the Big 12 and the Big Ten too with their constant " all about me BS.
ReplyOU fans and NU fans have a level of mutual respect that makes this move worthy. Conversely, UT has a te3ndency to want to dominate any organization that they are a party to. Please say yes, OU.
ReplyThe history and memories of Sooner games remain strong with many Husker fans. Great games, great fans.
ReplyTexas would be the same problem in the Big Ten, we are big state and we want it our way.
ReplyWhy can't Texas compete for the National Championship every year? Their state is talent rich with players! Let them try playing as an independent. I would take Oklahoma in a minute. .
ReplySooner vs husker football is the best rivalry ever. Texas ruins everything it touches and nearly ruined the big 12 conference.
ReplyF Texas, they ruined the SW Conference and the Big 12. Let them rot in what’s left of the Big 12.
ReplyTexas seems to think they need all the print and monies, so let them become the Norte Dame of the midwest and go rogue, leave them out and go Sooner!!
ReplyNebraska vs Oklahoma was one of the best rivalries in college football. Both teams respect each other over the years and to start up again would be awesome
ReplyNobody should want Texas. If Texas comes into the Big 10 we should get out. Oklahoma would be a great choice along with Kansas and K-State... and maybe Missouri would like back in with us.
ReplyTraditional rival and plays more above board with money issues. But I would take both
ReplyPlaying Oklahoma was a fun tradition, and Texas folks, for all their southern charm, actually enjoy being the neighborhood bully.
ReplyWe left the Big 12 due to Texas being treated differently then everyone else. Plus I still love the history of NU vs OU
ReplyTexas destroys every conference it get in as they are a bit narcissistic in their approach.
ReplyWhile I think it's highly unlikely that either will move to the B1G, Oklahoma would be my preference. They have more of the "midwest football" history, plus, they're not Texas.
ReplyOklahoma by all means!!!! Texas is the one that ruined the Big 8!! The only thing bigger in Texas are their egos!!!
ReplyBetter recruiting for ALL sports. Also, much larger TV market which would mean more $$$!!!!
ReplyI’m selfish, I live in Austin; would love to see us even the series and surpass it! Most bitter rivalry we had at the end of the Big XII
ReplyOnly if they get rid of that Longhorn Network. That is what started all this trouble in the first place.
ReplyOklahoma snub their nose at Nebraska win the Big 12 was formed in Decline to keep the Rivalry going.
