Should city officials promote religious events, like the National Day of Prayer, at city meetings?
No, that violates the First Amendment

Prayer's for all faiths. Declaration of Independence: We hold these truths to be self-evident ..all men are created equal . . endowed by their Creator. Constitution: FIRST Amendmt Freedom of Religion - No law restricting free exercise thereof. Separation of Church & State is from Jefferson Letter!
