Our high schools have declined over the past decades. High school students were better prepared for life 50 years ago than most college graduates are now. Students should be rewarded for scholastic ability. Instead we lower the standards so more graduate. What a joke.

Because I agree it would give kids high School age the wrong message. They are still learning what it takes to be an athlete ( teamwork, responsibility, respect, ect. ). I think a kid that age could get a big head and think they are above learning all the skills they will need to succeed.

It would be I think too much of a distraction for the kid involved. A high school kid needs to keep there eye on the ball, that is there education needs to be the priority at that age.
