No, that's their home.

I don't think they should be removed because they don't have anywhere to go. The city should address it.

The homeless need somewhere to sleep to. There is not enough room in the shelters. And more homeless then the city wants to acknowledge.

Honestly who cares? How is it affecting anyone that they're there. Oh no I have to drive past poor people, boo hoo. Maybe instead of uprooting folks who only have a TENT to live in we could put some energy into helping them? Get a grip Bend. My privileged hometown.

Unsanitary, unsightly, unlawful, enabling, and the list goes on!
ReplyBecause the problem will only escalate and grow if this is allowed.
ReplyBecause I live at four SEASONS mobile home park north of bend and they almost killed us seniors out here last summer when they started a fire behind us. The fire got into are park. We seniors are very scared this year because there is twice or three times as homeless people in the woods behind us.
ReplyMoved from every location in Bend. They leave needles, garbage, and feces in the community and hop from one place to another. The city needs to come up with a solution and set some laws regarding camping right in the open. It is disgusting
ReplyBecause people are.just taking advantage of a free place to say. Time to work and provide for yourself.
ReplyNo brainer.
ReplyThese properties are not intended to live on! Now that Portland is starting to remove them we don't want the homeless people to move to Bend. Open homeless shelters and put these people to work, there are plenty of jobs!!
ReplyDon't forget along Les schwab too.
ReplyNot just on the Parkway. Hunnel is a nightmare and now itβs expanding to the road behind Quality Inn.
ReplyTheir permant place is where they BUY it. Work to get back on your feet or get the help to get there. It's not societies responsibliity to PERMANETLY take care of those who chose not to.
ReplyIt's ridiculous that our city, county and state government agencies have allowed this Health and Safety Hazzard exist for so long!
ReplyGet a grip
ReplyThe more you allow the more folks will come. Look at Portland, Seattle and San Francisco. It will just get worse and worse. That is a fact. In addition, I would say nearly EVERY business is hiring right now. I choose to work hard and choose not to do drugs. They can make different choices
ReplyHelp them by helping them work in some way. Give free training if need be. Screen those who are very able. Better way to use gov. Money and help the homeless.
ReplyBuild more homeless shelters
