I love both, but Hobgoblins is one of the episodes I show to people to show them how good MST3k is. It helps that the movie itself is genuinely entertaining on its own, because of how bad it is.

This is the toughest one yet! I love both episodes, but I have to go with Hobgoblins. The rake scene, the Hobgoblins song, Club Scum, the old man. It has it all. My apologies to where the fish lives.

Tougher match up but Hobgoblins is one of my all-time favs. Few could beat it in my book.

I once tried showing this episode to a girl on a first date. We didn't work out, but there's no reason other prospective couples out there can't bond over some scuzzy strippers and rake fighting!

ReplyHonestly, I don't like either of these, but I'll take tortuously slow dialogue over derivative puppets (the hobgoblins, not the bots).
